We were in the early stages of designing a 100-page book—and foolishly hadn’t yet created any backup copies. Unexpectedly the video card in the machine we were using failed while working on the file. The computer would boot but wouldn’t allow us to open any applications. We had our tech diagnose the problem and install a new video card. When we restarted the computer we were we were afraid we had lost the work before the crash. Ha, to be that lucky. What a surprise when every attempt to open the document repeatedly crashed the InDesign program.
At 5:30 that evening we sent our damaged file to Markzware– by the next morning we had a repaired file—that opened with no problem and was entirely editable.
Yes– we believe in miracles. These guys might even be able to walk on water.

I was stuck with a deadline on my project when my file got interrupted abruptly. I always make backup file and I did now, but that one was saved 3 days before and I didn't have enough time to start from there again. Markzware saved my life. I only regret as I didn’t do it months earlier. I had a corrupt InDesign file and tried everything even sending it to Adobe support. I wasted months trying to fix it myself.. thank you again for your help! You saved my 400mb, 40 page, illustrated book.

I was hit with the dreaded Error Code 6, but instead of losing one file, the entire save and recovery directory was corrupted, and the Creative Cloud save was bugged.



In the midst of panicked all-nighter trying to save the work, trying every troubleshooting method I could find and sending my files to Adobe for recovery, I purchased IDMarkz, but it unfortunately wasn't compatible with my project. I reached out for the file recovery service and Markzware refunded the IDMarkz cost and then was able to recover the majority of the project (in the middle of the night, no less), saving me weeks of work.



I'm absolutely grateful to David, and will continue recommending the service to everyone who unfortunately is forced to use InDesign.



P.S. Weeks later Adobe finally got back to me and said the project was "completely irrecoverable". 😂

It was the worst file corruption.

I thought it would be difficult to communicate because it was a different country, but I communicated well without any problems. :)
